FAQ

▲ Where are you located? Is there parking?
We are located at 482 Howe Ave, Shelton, CT 06484. To see our more in-depth location page click here. Parking is available in several places! On-street parking is always free if available.

  • Next to the Conti building, as well as behind.

  • In the Post Office lot.

  • In the lot between the firehouse and our building.

  • Please be advised that the lot across the street from us is NOT public parking and you will be towed if you’re parked there.

Do you require deposits?
Yes, to solidify an appointment with any of our artists, you must pay a deposit. If a deposit is not placed, you do not have an appointment. We try our best to allow a day or so for deposits to be sent. Our full deposit policy can be read here.

How much do you charge?
Our shop minimum is $100. The hourly rate in Connecticut is predominantly $150, however, sometimes designs take longer, and some designs take less time so tattoos are always priced to the fairness of our abilities. Also, a day rate price estimate may be implemented according to the artist’s discretion.

▲ Can I see my custom design ahead of time?
We typically do not send designs over. If large changes need to be made, please let your artist know as soon as possible, allowing enough time to tweak the design. If small changes need to be made, that can be discussed with your artist (in person) on the day of the appointment to avoid miscommunication. Reviewing your artist’s previous work and putting trust in them is important before making an appointment!

▲ Do you take credit or debit cards?
Cash is preferred, but we have a card reader for your convenience. We also accept Afterpay, you can read more about Afterpay here.

Does anyone do coverups/reworks?
Yes! Just be sure to specify it’s a coverup in the contact form and we will get you with the best artist for the job!

How old do I need to be to be tattooed?
We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 17. If you are 17, a parent/guardian must be present during the entire tattoo procedure.

I filled out the form a couple of days ago, why haven’t I received a response yet?
We try to get to all of our messages in a timely matter, due to the high volume of emails, some responses may take longer. If you haven’t received a response yet, please be patient!

How can I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
We always advise our clients that being comfortable and relaxed is the most important part. Please wear clothing that will be comfortable for you to sit for a long period. Also, wear clothing that will make access to the tattoo as easy as possible. Examples would be a tank top for the shoulder area, or shorts for the leg area. If you prefer to wear headphones to your appointment, you are more than welcome to! Stay hydrated and bring water if you need to. Make sure to eat beforehand, and avoid drinking alcohol the night before. Avoid heavy sun exposure before the appointment, and have a good night’s rest prior. Please let us know prior if you have any concerns regarding preparation for your visit!

▲ What do you recommend for aftercare?
Please see our aftercare page for our in-depth recommendations for taking care of your new tattoo. Our artists will go over the aftercare when your tattoo is finished.

Please email, text, or call the shop for any other questions.
